ED501 / EDF501 Standard Duty Commercial Rim Exit Device
 
The ED501 (non-fire rated) and EDF501 (fire rated) are standard-duty commercial rim exit devices designed for reliable performance in schools, offices, and light commercial buildings. Built to ANSI 156.3 Grade 2 standards, they feature a deadlatching, non-handed design for easy installation and long service life.
The ED501 offers standard dogging for convenient hold-open capability on non-UL models, while the EDF501 is UL listed for fire and egress, rated for 1-1/2 hours on doors under 38" x 86". Both models are available in baked enamel aluminum or duronodic finishes, with stainless steel available on the ED551 variant.
