ML9453 Heavy Duty Commercial Mortise Lock – Dormitory/Exit
The ML9453 is engineered for high-traffic environments that require both security and safe emergency egress, meeting the ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000 Grade 1 standard for maximum durability. Constructed with a heavy gauge plated steel lock case and stainless steel latch, guard bolt, and armored front, this lock is built to withstand years of use in demanding commercial or institutional settings.
This Dormitory/Exit function allows the latch bolt to be operated by a lever from either side. The outside lever can be locked by a key from the outside or by an inside turn button, but turning the inside lever always retracts both the latch and the deadbolt for immediate exit in an emergency.
